These are ex-UK office machines. A company buys 32GB because staff run heavy files all day, then replaces the fleet on a three year cycle whether it needs it or not. The machine gets old. The RAM does not get smaller. What 32GB does is let you keep thirty tabs, Excel and a call open at once. It does not make an older processor fast, which is why the generation is printed next to the RAM on every machine here.

One warning we would rather give you now. The Dell Inspiron says i7 on the lid, and it is a 7th generation dual core. The ThinkPad at ₦295,000 is an 8th generation quad core, and on heavy multitasking the cheaper machine will feel quicker. Buy on the generation, not the badge.
